Da Dead Zone

Weight = holding steady at 180lbs.  Really want to get into the 170s

Sorry for not posting in eons.  Me sick and tonight I have access to a computer (yeah!).  Haven't been working out due to coughing, not being able to breath, and all the other sexy stuff that comes as a result of taking public transit with a whole bunch of coughing strangers (ugh).

Yesterday I said, fuck it, and started coking myself up on cough medication and nasal sprays.  That stuff works, but for some reason it completely wires me up.  Sigh.

Am going to be trapped in a cottage with my family, so my survival plan is to stuff my bag with Ensure Fibre drinks, so this way I can avoid any potential Fat/Calorie Bombs.  I have since come to the conclusion that my dad uses way too much oil/butter/etc in his cooking, and unless I can bring up my own food, it's going to be difficult to avoid Thousand Calorie Meals.  Hence the Ensures :-)  If I have time, I'm going to buy a skipping rope (now that I can breath thanks to all the drugs lol).

On to other things...

AS I am broke and his was all torn up, I got Kenneth a pair of pj bottoms for Christmas (since we're spending it apart, we did gifts early), and tonight he gave me mine (I really didn't expect him to, since he went along when I dragged him to get our photo done with Santa :-)  Anyhoo, I got a watch woohoo!!!  I haven't had one in years, and I absolutely love the one he got me (I've always preferred men's watches and I love really simple, classic lines.  And definitely no round faces.  I hate metal straps and I think that rose brown faces are so pretty.  And all I need a watch for is to tell time, so I don't need all those fancy gadgets or some super expensive watch that'll be 0.01% more accurate.  So my sweetie got me the perfect watch *happy grins*
.)

I also got a bunch of running socks (cuz he got sick of me "borrowing" his all the time lol), some kind of thing for my iPod which can track my running progress or something (www.apple.com/ipod/nike/run.html) but it looks kind of annoying so I may return that, and a $500 gift certificate for Holt Renfrew(!!!).  We'll probably drop by there tomorrow as they are having a sale on right now, but truth be told, the only thing I would want to get would be a general workhorse of a purse = one I can use year-round, can go with jeans & a t-shirt to borderline semi-casual? [I am still in denial that my sunglasses have disappeared as I am sure that they'll turn up somewhere *desperate*]

I don't give a shit about brand names (though I freaking HATE Louie Vuitton as you see it EVERYWHERE and it seems to be part of the Asian Female Uniform).  Since I can't sleep, am browsing through this blog called Bag Bliss (www.bagbliss.com ) and checking out if there's anything that catches my eye.  So far, all I've seen are ordinary-to-fugly purses at prices which astound me.  And in this day and age, why the fuck would anyone want to carry around some dead alligator on their arm?!?  Isn't that shit illegal in Canada or something?

I doubt that I'll get the chance to blog again, as tomorrow I'm spending with Kenneth as he's off to Calgary the next morning, then it's over to the parentals (ugh) for Christmas Eve and all that jazz.  I swear, if my mom drags my dad and I off to Midnight Mass again I'm going to be popping some Happy Pills for sure.  My parents are really nice people and all that, but I find them a bit clingy/needy i.e. the amount of time they want to spend with me FAR EXCEEDS the amount of time I want to spend with them.  That's why I'm not exactly looking forward to going over on Wednesday.

It'll be just the three of us, and we won't be picking up my brothers until Boxing Day, on our way to the cottage, where I'll be trapped with my family until the 30th, when we drive back to Toronto.

This year I'm being smart.  Last year, I was going crazy by the end of Day 2 as there were no tech comforts.  The damn TV had a VCR player(!).  This time, however...I'm borrowing Kenneth's PSP along with this game he got me from Korea which is frigging addictive!

his laptop which we're going to bring over to my place tomorrow so we can transfer the 31+G of anime & asian dramas I've downloaded especially for this cottage stint, his headphones, and of course my fully loaded iPod.  In short, everything I could possibly need to make being around my family for a full week tolerable :P

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays, and see you in the New Year for The Fresh Start!!!
